I started having health problems at the age of 12. Nothing catastrophic but serious enough that I was seeing medical specialists. My 4 younger siblings, raised in the same house with the same foods, had none of the issues I had. By the time I was in my late 20s, I had the “health history of a 65-year-old woman” . This was said to me by the first chiropractor (Dr. V) that I ever went to, after she read the health history I filled out. I was in chronic pain, sick to my stomach regularly, had chronic skin problems that were often disfiguring. I had been diagnosed with IBS, reflux and colitis by that time. I was always exhausted. I was on a prescription antacid at double the dose I should have been on and for an unsafe length of time, unbeknownst to me. I had a handful of unexplained hospital visits for severe pain with no specific diagnosis
I went to all the doctors and specialists that were recommended. I had the tests they said to have. I took the medicines they said to take, and on the one occasion it was offered, I took the dietary advice that was suggested. None of it made a difference. At all. And my symptoms continued. So, when Dr. V asked me how I felt. I said, “I feel like crap and I feel like crap every day” . Dr. V told me she had a specialist who comes to her office once a month that might be able to help me, and would I like to schedule with him? Even though, I was feeling overwhelmed and hopeless, I made myself say yes and scheduled the appointment. I did not ask what he did. All I knew is that it would not be as invasive or uncomfortable as the multitude of medical appointments and tests I had already had.
During the appointment, I stood with my arm out while Mr. C muscle tested me. At that time, I had never seen, heard of, nor understood muscle testing. But as Mr. C was testing me and telling Dr. V what he was finding, I immediately knew several things; he knew more about what was going on in my body than any doctor I had ever been to, I knew he could and would help me and I knew that this is what I was supposed to do for others.
I left that appointment with Mr. C with a Supplement Protocol of Standard Process organic whole food supplements. I was told what to take and when, I was told to stop eating gluten and cows milk dairy (This was long before being gluten free was “fashionable”) and I was told to come back in 1 month.
Within 3 weeks, I realized I had not been woken up by horrible burning pain in my upper abdomen for several days. (That had been happening for several years). I decided to stop taking the antacid that a pharmacist had recently informed me was very unhealthy for me, at the dose and duration I was on. That was in 1998 and I have never needed an antacid since. I worked with Mr. C monthly for many months and continued to see improvements in every way. I have never needed nor been back to a GI specialist since then.
Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA), the technique Mr. C did, is the second technique I learned with Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) being the first. I started working for Dr. V in her practice within 6 months of learning NET and started my own practice in 2004. I still use and love both CRA and NET as well as several other amazing techniques.
To this day, I get tested every couple months and I take an individualized Standard Process supplement protocol daily. I have better health today than I did in the 1990s and I get to help people feel better even when they are not sure if it is possible.
